PATRIKA GATE

• The facade of the Jawahar Circle.
• Built by Rajathan Patrika Group of Publications(Media) on the JLN Marg in Jaipur.
• The idea of building the Gate is Connected with the old Gates of Jaipur walled city.
• In 1727 AD, Maharajah Sawai Jai Singh 2nd founded the PINK CITY and has occupied the perimeter with a wall and eight Gates.
• Now, Patrika Gate is being reprsented as the ninth gate of Jaipur.

THE ALBERT HALL

The

Albert Hall Museum

in Jaipur is the oldest museum of the state 

And it is a Historical Palace. 

• Situated in Ram Niwas Garden outside the city wall opposite New Gate
  
• It is named after King Edward VII (Albert Edward)
• Built by Maharaja 

  Ram Singh

   in 1887 opened as a public Museum (Madho singh II) 
• Foundation stone was laid on 6 February 1876
• It is fine example of Indo-Saracenic Architecture 
•  It is also called the Government Central Museum.

Collection

• The museum has a rich collection of artifacts including paintings, jewelry, carpets, ivory, stone, metal sculptures, and works in crystal.
• The collection includes coins from the Gupta, Kushan, Delhi Sultanate, Mughal & British periods. 
• 
  
  An Egyptian Mummy is the main attraction of this museum.
